Touring the area in the south of France, looking for paintable spots, what a pleasure!
I could jump out of the car at every curve in the road. Sometimes I set up the whole shebang with easel and all. At other times I like to catch the atmosphere in a quick sketch and a few strokes sitting in the tailgate of my car. That's what I did on the top of this hill.

De buurt verkennen in het zuiden van Frankrijk, op zoek naar mooie plekjes om te schilderen, dat is geen straf. Iedere bocht geeft weer een nieuw vergezicht. Soms pak ik echt uit met ezel en al. Een andere keer schets ik de sfeer in een paar streken vanuit de achterklep van mijn auto. Dat is wat je hier ziet vanaf boven op de heuvel.
