Het delicate takje wat zo voorzichtig tussen duim en wijsvinger wordt gehouden is Mirre een waardevol geschenk van één van de drie koningen. Maar de diepere betekenis is natuurlijk de waarde die je je zelf toekent en die je in eigen hand houd. Zo mooi als het gedicht hierboven van Fransiscus van Sales kan ik het niet zeggen vandaar deze miniatuur.
